which wheel is lighter and structurally stronger? I heard the BBS LMs are strictly racing rims and will crack on the street. Are they made of Magnesium?

Anyone have any experience with the HRE 540R's? I prefer the look of this wheel chromed with the extended lips.

I can't find any feedback on iForged. I think the stock ACR BBS rims are nice but are they lighter or heavier than these other 3rd party rims?

also if I go bigger than 18", there really isn't that big of a tire selection for 19/20 setups. Does anyone have a comparable 19/20 tire to that of a Kumho v700?
Anyone have experience with PZeros in 19/20?

thoughts?

i weighed my stock rear size 18X13 bbs acr rims and my forgeline VR-1 wheels weigh 1.5 lbs lighter in the same size for the rear. i believe that the forgeline VR-1's are the lightest street/track wheels you can buy. i also have a set of forgeline WC3 wheels and the rears (18X13) weigh a hefty 26 lbs which is 7 lbs heavier than than VR-1's and 5.5 lbs heavier than the stock bbs acr wheels.

HRE and [******] make some nice wheels but i don't know how much they weigh. i am guessing they are similar in weight to the forgeline WC3 wheels. startech wheels look bitchin but i hear they are a total boat anchor in terms of weight. forgeline VR-1 wheels were made briefly in size 19 inch. if you look hard you can find a set used for sale. thats how i found my 18 inch forgeline VR-1's. i bought them used and they are in excellent condition. my WC3 wheels are new. good luck

Out of the wheels you mentioned the ACR wheels should be the lightest.

HRE's are very very heavy wheels typicaly much heavier than stock, I suspect that is the reason you wont much much info on them.

Fast Freddy,

I have searched for weight on the ACR wheels and according to their specs they are not nearly as light as you are saying. The specs I found was 27 front and 29 rear, which makes them nearly 10lb's heavier each than VR1's. Did you use an accurate scale?

ACRs are lighter than others but they are NOT super light.

If you are looking for weight savings. Look into the SSR wheels. They weigh less than 20 lbs each!
