I was cranking some tunes while driving my GTS today, and was wondering what the best music is to listen to. So, what is the ABSOLUTE BEST tunes to crank up while you are cruising in your Viper?

(and no cheezy answer like "The sound of the engine is the best 'music'"):D

Personally the 80's hair bands are the best, I think. Def Leppard Pyromania is a perennial classic in my car. The engine doesn't sound too bad either... to be honest.

I have a habit of making mix CD's that get me really amped up while driving. Mostly hard rock/metal for me with a little punk mixed in every now and again. Everytime I listen to "God Save Us" by Ill Nino I think I'm going to get a speeding ticket.

Definitely the best music is Motley Crue singin':

Girls Girls Girls
Wild Side
Kickstart my Heart
Dr. Feelgood

Or into Guns N' Roses for:

Welcome to the Jungle
Night Train
My Michelle
Rocket Queen
Paradise City

Or an 80's hairband classic:

Autograph - Turn up the Radio

Regards,
Aaron

P.S. I liked most of the previous posts choices too!

No music.
You have to put the volume on 24 to hear it over my exhaust and the Paxton.
The GTS V10 composing the perfect soundtrack. It produces a wonderful throaty snarl that makes that sound system beg for mercy.

Has anyone tried the XM radio portables? I am not going to stick a magnet to the roof of my coupe, and found leaving the antenna in the trunk to view the sky (although it has a very good view of it) to be inadequate. Anyone have a suggestion for XM portables? If not its going back in the box.......

An ex-marine friend of mine, volunteered to go the mess in Iraq and serve his country.Driving around over there, all they would here was Mosque music(annoying in the very least). They wanted just once to turn up their loud P.A. speakers to the tune of
"THUNDERSTRUCK"! It's been my favorite ever since!

Man, where to start? Try "Highway to Hell" at a slow crawl and any thing by Megadeath when you are hauling ***!!! Great question, with way too many songs and groups to single it down to just a few....Enjoy it all...

I have been in the middle east many times over many years. I sypmathise with you fried over Ala's greatest hits being played five times a day. And to all those that continue to serve our great cause to defeat terrorism and have to listen to it. If we walk out now, they will be here in our own backyard. If you think they wont your on a fools errand. My two cents, go USA........

Maybe I am the oddball, but I am a huge fan of EDM (Electronic Dance Music), and in my opinion, you cant get any more energy in a tune elsewhere... Driving never saw this coming! Perhaps its becuase I am relatively young in this crowd, but once I turn someone to EDM... they never look back. From the 18 YO youngest members to the 50+ doctors, they all have a spot for EDM in their collections now...

First of all, the fact you have a Viper in Alaska is already cool. The song pick is dead on - "Highway to Hell" - PERFECT!

I am pulling out my AC/DC albums (I'm mean CD's) right now!

I always crank up Sammy Hagar's "I Can't Drive 55", and George Thorogood's "Gear Jammer".

Try this one out... Eminem "Lose Yourself". I had it blasting today, while enjoying the incredible New Jersey weather this weekend. It feels like we are in San Diego (72 and Sunny).

I put a Nickelback CD in my radio when I bought my Viper and I never changed it. I play it all the time. The music is so appropiate to the car.
