Went to the track the other days and fell a little short of my 10 second goal with a best run of 11.2@131 on a mediocre 1.84 60ft. I'm wondering if I'm shifting at the optimal RPM though. It seemed like my numbers improved after I turned down my shift light RPM a bit. On my best run I was shifting at 5600 which puts me at about 4200 in the next gear. My car has a Roe blower and the torque curve is pretty flat from about 3500 to 5300 with peak torque at 4200RPM. At 5600 the torque has dropped about 50ftlbs.
Does 5600 sound about right or would it make sense to try dropping another 100 RPM an positioning more squarely in the torque range?
