After 20,000 miles, I decided it was time to change my rear brake pads (front pads already changed quite some time ago.)

I removed the stock pads, and discovered that one pad on each rear wheel was oriented in the wrong direction. The beveled edge on one pad was up, and the beveled edge on the other pad was down. Pad wear was a bit heavier on the incorrectly oriented pad. Also, the retaining pins were not fully seated on either of the rear calipers.

I guess somebody at the factory wasn't paying attention when they initially installed the brake pads on my car.

Makes me glad I decided to change the pads.
