cuz the PRICE IS RIGHT. I had a handful of calls yesterday, emails and *** yesterday with my newly dropped price, so I want to thank everyone for their interest! I received a deposit this morning so if it all works out, the car will be sold by the end of the week then it's time to put on my Elmer Fudd hat so I can go huntin'...FOR A GTS!

Side note: I topped off my coolant and burped the car last night. I took it for a drive about an hour ago to make sure everything is cool and I have no air in the system and for ONCE I did it right (thanks to Chris Pharr for the dummy-proof explanation over the phone). Basically it's my last drive before I sell it, so it would only be appropriate I get ANOTHER #@%*& ticket. Luckily he just warned me for the speed (79 in a 70 on a road with literally NO ONE on it) but I got a citation for no front plate.

*sigh* I'm gonna miss all the trouble she's gotten me into...do they make GTSs in invisible?

The closest you could get to invisibility would be to buy a Vette !

(We know that you don't really want to be that invisible. Good luck in your search for the "right" GTS ! )

Vipers do get an unreasonable amount of attention from law enforcement. I can drive my old Ram 30% above any speed limit without so much as a look, yet I've had cops flash their lights at me as a warning in my Viper when I was doing exactly the speed limit. Got so annoyed I wanted to turn around and chase them to ask "Am I not allowed to even drive this car then?"

Jason, Are you going to get an "arreast me red" GTS? I don't think the color of Viper will mater much as these cars naturaly show themselves off and attract atention all by themselves, no matter the speed, but we already know that!;)

You had a really nice car Jason.

What are you looking for in a GTS? Color, mods, etc...?

I'd love to have a 1999 because of the fog light cover delete, door handles and gauge bezels, but it's still going to come down to price.

The guys I drive with the most have blue/white and red, so I'd prefer to go with a black 1999. I don't think I'll modify this car as much so I also wouldn't mind leaping up into the cast engine and getting a bumblebee.

I'd love to already have a full exhaust already on the car. Then I'd only have to do springs/caps/wheels to be "content" for a little while.

Price will more than likely dictate my car, and I wouldn't be unhappy with any GTS. I'm going to blame my ticket woes on the color of my car as opposed to the driver, so I'd prefer NOT having red but if it's a nice, clean car at a good price, why not?

Thanks for the compliments on my RT. It's been kinda bittersweet seeing it sit in the garage knowing it won't be there next week...I've put a lot of time, effort and money into it, but it's going to a guy that will use it like it's supposed to.

Explaining Viper things to you

I got pulled over last night after another Roe triple pass test run - wasn't a local PD, maybe a Sheriff - but it was about the front plate. I'm otherwise still behaving in traffic as I have 10 more days to go on deferred adjudication on my last ticket, so I was not enthused to see Mr. Cop.

After I informed him that the car has no front bracket, he informed me his wife got him a bracket for his '04 for Christmas.

I do NOT approve of cops using the privileges of their squad car to socialize with other people of shared interest. :nono:

Anyway, I didn't get a ticket for the front plate or the white hood vents, he liked my wheels he said on parting, and the kids at the snow cone stand I pulled over in front of are still probably talking about this.
