I know I promised to post these a few weeks ago, but I just haven't had the time to arrange to either get the car to the hood or the hood to the car. Last weekend I bought a new Ram 3500 Mega cab dually with the 6.7 / 6 speed auto and now my problems are solved!

Here are the pics of a carbon fiber Comp coupe style hood on a First Edition SRT10 Coupe

I personally think the spoiler in the rear looks too big, and bit ricey. But thats often a challenge with vipers, getting a decent spoiler that doesnt scream Ricer... Just seems to bulky. But others like it, so thats cool.

Also the hood, I actually think design looks great. But its true value is its weight savings, because it would have to be painted, it just doesnt look light being carbon fiber color on a painted car with stripes. I think a non stripe car, thats dark could get away with it, but otherwise, it just looks bad to me.

Thats my feedback, dont know if you were soliciting it. But I just wanted to give honest feedback.

I think the hood needs paint also, but am wondering how it would look if you just painted the white stripes and left the rest carbon fiber.

It looks dreadful without paint matching to the car but maybe his intention was to show the hood before it was painted, with the intention of painting it later.

What's the weight savings over the stock hood?

I will be weighing this hood this weekend, it is way lighter than the stock hood and a little lighter than my fiberglass hoods which weigh 30lbs ( stock is about 47 lbs )

The intention in these pics is to show off the hood, I think that this hood would look great unpainted on any solid color car like silver, black , blue etc. the really nice thing about carbon these days is that you can paint over it but mask out areas and then reveal carbon like what they did on the last raffle car. I will be painting the fiberglass hood on the background of some of these pics this week .

Todd , if you want this one it is yours, you are going to need a lot of venting with that TT you have in your car.

With the hood and wing not matching the paint on the car looks bad. I think if you painted both it would look better. But finding a rear wing that looks right on the viper is hard to impossible to find.

In the GTS the Henny rear wing looked good, but was a bit too tall. Although that rear bumper was perfect.
