Has always worked great for me, just make sure car is nice and clean before using. Also make sure that you use plenty of the spray lubricant, and only do a small section of the car at a time.

I used the Zaino clay bar with a capfull of their carwash in 12 oz of water I believe (per instructions). I first used it on my Dakota for practice and then my Viper. It did wonders on the Dakota oxidation. I'm now gonna use it on my black '72 Blazer soon.

Thanx for the info guys. Yes I was serious, I have never heard of clay bars before. May have to try this although my paint looks pretty good.

IEATVETS. I felt the same way. Take a pack of cigarettes or something else that has very thin clear plastic around it. Put your fingers inside the plastic and run it across the paint. You will feel all of the foreign contaminants that attach to your paint and dull the surface.

Lubricate the area and gently run the clay bar across it. Maybe 10-20 quick strokes about 5" total surface covered. Don't press hard or you will spot your clear coat. Repitition is doing the work, not pressure.

Wipe off the excess with a terry cloth. Now rub your celophane wrapped fingers over that area again and continue to move your fingers until you hit an area which you have not covered.

The difference is like rubbing glass and a golf ball. Atleast on my 96 with 35k miles. It pulls out junk you didn't know you had on the paint.

Good luck and enjoy!

Doh, I just clicked the link and realized that everything I typed plus more is already up there.

Oh well, fingers needed some exercise this morning.
