A friends viper is having a problem, if its driven regularely the clutch works fine, engages almost immediately after putting the foot ont he pedal, and you don't have to depress it all the way down. (the usual.)

When the car sits for a couple of days, you literaly have to put the clutch right to the floor to get it to engage, and have 2 inches of clutch engagement travel, after awhile it goes back to normal.

Now from my reading on here it sounds like the slave? Or air in the slave?

edit: oops I spelled clutch wrong in the title. My bad.

I would check the usual stuff, the Master Cylinder fluid level, make sure bleeder screw and fittings are tight and for leaks.

Good Luck!

I Agree with Ratical2 also check to see if the pedal has any L/R play. I had to replace 2 lexan bushings (cheap and easy). Solved my right off the floor clutch issues as well as the neutral safety switch issue.
