Well I have had the B&B for about a year now, and I am starting to get tired of it. I like the sound, love the tips, but I hate the fact that the resonators are too big and so the side sills don't fit quite right. The gap between the door and the side sill is pretty pronounced, and I've tried everything to get the cans to tuck up into the body better. So I am thinking of switching it out. I've thought if I had enough money I would do a complete Belanger system (headers back) since it seems that looks the best, sounds the best, and doesn't turn that knarly gold color after a while like stainless, and they have a rolled tip now that is similar to the B&B. The other exhaust I really like is the Mopar Borla for the same reasons, it has a rolled tip design, but they seem to be hard to come by for a good price. I am worried with the Borla I will have the same problems with the resonators not quite fitting.

What I would like to know is how do the other exhausts mate up to 2.5" cats? The B&B is nice in that you can go to a 3" cat down the road. Not sure how either the Borla or the Belanger would do that. And how do they fit in the side sills?

I may also consider Corsa, although I do not like the tips as much.

FWIW, My B&B fit fine. Resonators went right in, no problem. In fact, the Viper tech who did the install told me that it fit better than any other after market exhaust he's installed.

Brian, you are welcome to check out the fit of the Borla on my GTS if you're ever down this way. Haven't seen you in about 3 years (last time was up at Sac. Raceway when we both still had Vettes I think!).

Hey Christian, sure I remember. Which Borla do you have, the regular one or the Mopar with the etched/ rolled tips? Funny how most guys I know, from Tommy to Perry to a few guys here locally, used to have Vettes, now have Vipers. Guess we all learn sometime...

Bob, I don't know why my B&B has a problem, I almost like it so much I am tempted to get another one if I thought it might fit better. On mine the resonator pipe is so tucked up it is actually touching the hangers just in front of the rear wheels so it has nowhere else to go, and still when I removed my side sills after some months the resonators show signs that they were resting on the inside of the side sill and yet there is a few inches of room on the inside next to the frame...

Brian, I've got the regular Borla. I was thinking the same thing about the Vette-to-Viper progression. I guess, looking back, it was inevitable. I always used to think the Viper was overrated. I was wrong.

How do you like the Ripper shifter? I was thinking about getting a Rich Detert shortened shifter shaft. I'm a little leary of drilling out the rivets to change the shifter.

Christian,

I don't have it installed yet, going up from underneath so I don't have to drill the rivets out or drill the tunnel. I actually have the WCV short shift now, it's pretty much the smae thing as the Detert in a 1" drop. I like it, at the time I was on a budget, but now after upgrading other things I feel like upgrading to the entire shifter assembly. I will let you how I like it in a week or two.

Sounds great, Brian. I'm interested in upgrading the shifter too. Maybe I'll follow your route after your install. I've seen a couple of your posted pictures of your RT/10 -- looks fantastic.

Brian, not sure why the different fit. Just purchased mine in June 04. Perhaps yours is a little older and they have since adjusted the specs? I've also got RT 3" cats in there which are about a third the size of stock. However, I wouldn't think this would make a difference because everything was pretty much pre-cut to size.

I do love the sound though. Personally, I'm very happy with just two resonators and the true X pipe layout.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Bob,

Tell me more, did they change the formula? I see on Jon B's website it looks like the tips have an etched B&B logo on the top and the resonators have lost the little supports, the hanger for the crossover looks different too.
