In my 2000 I put in a trap door kit from BBD to help prevent oil starvation.

Do I need to install similar on the ACR or was it set up from the factory?

:dunno:

The year matters....

All Gen 2 ACRs had stock pans, and 1999 had the small, crappy pan. They 'need' trap-doors if tracked, esp on slicks. They DO have the better oil-filter adapters in all G2 ACRs

If you want the baffles/trap doors and larger capacity, yes. Add an Accusump if you want even better protection.

I ran my car for 5 years and about 18,000 miles with a small pan and OE windage tray. At around 18k, I added the 2000 windage tray and trap doors, and kept the 1 hole OEM sheet metal plate over the screened pickup. The returning oil can only get to into the pan right above the pickup. I now have almost 33k miles over 14 years. I've pulled rod caps for inspection with no problems encountered. I'm also one of those guys who only changes oil about once every 12-18 months. Your mileage may vary.
