If ease of being modded is a big concern, then it should be pre 2000. There is some debate as to whether cast pistons can stand up to the rigors of heavy mods like nitrous and supercharging.

Excellent summary Jon. Only exception is the 92-95 suspension is welded steel, not cast iron. Not trying to be critical as your knowledge of Vipers exceeds just about everybody combined.

The '96 has slip-in "slider" windows, in place of the '92-95 "zippered" windows.
