i got joseph dells old DLM paxton setup im installing and really dont like how the TOP radiator hose was on his and is on mine. on JD's it went down in front and under the novi to the radiator neck. doing it that way the oil return line gets crushed and i didnt like it. doing it my way (see pic) its ugly and on top of the s/c belt and other junk there.

im thinking of just leaving it like this temporarily till i can find a guy to custom bend me up a nice tube that goes most of the way to the Water Pump and all the way to the radiator..

does anyone have any ideas on how to do this ?

i cant be the first guy with a DLM that doesnt like this...

Make sure your hood closes with your setup. Btw- on the oil line, it shouldn't be touching it. You sure you have it rigged right? What length hose are you using?

im gonna be mounting the hood hinge assy next weekend so i'll find out then. i think the hose just has to be moved a hair to make room for it.

the oil line is plenty long. i actually have a bit left over at the bottom going into the pan. no matter which way i ran that line it was in the way. maybe if i changed the fitting that was in the novi, it would work, but no other way for sure. like i said it was in there, but it kinked that line and i didnt like that so i moved it to here for now.

Joseph, that chrome tube i bought on the alley almost works. im gonna use that as a template to make up a new one i think with some of that crinkle tubing.

Like Jdog said, watch out for the hose when you close the hood. DLM had a reason why he put the hose where he had it. If you wanted to do a hard tube it would be simple to do. Just get aluminum mandrel bends and tig weld it up in the design you want. Make sure you put a bead on the end of the pipe so the hose doesn't blow off.

Here is how paxton did theirs.

Hey Phil:

Make sure what ever you do, it is on TIGHT. Cause I have heard that the can get loose, especially the top hose.
