do i HAVE to get my tranny fuild change over to the clear stuff???

on 96 GTS, i was gonna change(upgrade) the tranny fuild to the clear better stuff today, but rightnow i have red fuild and it WAS CLEAN, car shifts GREAT, no problem at all, so do i have to have that fuild change or upgrade to the clear????

You don't HAVE to unless your tranny makes rattling noises loud enough to bother you. If you're fine with it, leave the Dexron 3 in there.

What is this new tranny fluid and where do I get it. I changed my fluid recently with the mopar stuff and it is loud as hell.

The new recommended fluid is Castrol Syntorq. Best price I've found is $54 a gallon (plus shipping) at:

The dealer gets about $18 a quart for the same thing repackaged in a Mopar labled bottle.
