I've been contemplating suspension changes aimed at the drag strip. I ran across so-called 'drag shocks', and it looks like they are just for the front of the car. I figure they allow the front end to raise easily under hard acceleration, thereby transferring weight to the rear. Is this correct? Are there other alternatives? Also, is there something I should be doing with the rear shocks and/or springs? I'd enjoy hearing about real experiences in this area. Thanks.

Yes you are correct.
I put Eibach springs on mine, they are progressive, wich helps to lift the front. To that did I also rebuild my stock Konis to Koni SPA-1 specifications (front and rear), My 60 footers are now 1.50-1.53, that with 575hp.
