Dynoed my car this afternoon to see how my earlier pre Vec2 set up compared to the vec2 set up. I ran my below 1/4 mile numbers with the msd pulling out .5 degrees of timing per psi and 100 octane fuel. I dont think the msd starts removing timing until passing 2 degrees. The A/F with the msd was waaaaaaay lean...some people would have been taking cover. With the vec2 I pulled out 6 degrees maximum on one pull and 2 degrees maximum on the other. All three runs were on 100 octane unleaded. I probably lost a little power by using 100 octane with the 6 degree tune but it was easier than swapping fuel at the dyno. I normally run the 6 degree tune with 93 octane and zero detonation. I haven't tryed more timing with 93 octane yet. Before everybody freaks out, these pulls were on a Mustang dyno. By looking at the same vehicles on the two dynos if you multiply Mustang numbers by 1.15 then that would ballpark Dynojet numbers. If using that formula my best today was 635hp and 665tq. Even if they were a little less on a Dynojet I was still pleased. I can see them being correct based on et slips. Yes...the numbers are corrected.
