Is anyone running E85 on a Gen IV? Any information? Any numbers on gains? What's needed to complete the conversion?

Given that E85 contains less energy per gal. than either plain gas or 10% gas/ethanol, I sure don't expect that you would have any power gains at all.--Dave

E85 is a higher octane though, so if the engine is built for it you can actually get more power. However, without changing compression or adding boost you likely wouldn't see a gain.

I don't know about Viper engines and E85, but I know you can advance the timing a bit with the higher octane of E85. I have an SRT-4 tuned for E85 that puts down ~475hp at the front, that's a combination of being able to run more boost as well as advance the timing a good amount because of the E85.

You also need to dump about 30% more fuel with E85, so keep that in mind. Most cars require larger injectors and a bigger fuel pump to make it work.

I think you need larger injectors and a tune, if I am not mistaken.
