There is always 45-70 vipers listed, and has been for the last year. There is always 600-725 corvettes listed.I use ebay motors alot in my business, and I dont see any significant change. If you subtract the 03 vipers, there is really a very few vipers listed, considering 11 years of production.
I purchased my Viper in a no reserve auction on Ebay a little over a year ago. I watched Viper auctions for several months before buying and at that time about 75% of the Viper auctions failed to meet the reserve. For many auctions, the completed item prices on Ebay do not reflect actual purchase prices.
I don't think that most of the Vipers on ebay are really for sale in an "auction". It's not really an auction if the seller doesn't really have to sell.
I don't care what they say about "no reserve", not many Vipers are going to be sold on ebay for less than anyone would expect the car to sell for.
Most of the Vipers on ebay look like they are being sold by used car dealers. These guys are never going to let a car go for a bargain price.
Bargains occasionally happen if conditions are right for the individual seller. If he needs to unload because of a emergency however more often that not most cars are over reserved and have to be listed several times with more moderate expectations by the seller. Dealers like baystatemotors are a whole different story. Their prices are absurd bu there is a sucker born every day for guys like them!
