I'm hoping someone versed with the electrical system can chime in here.

I have a 96 RT10. The car would not crank, although with the key in the start position you could clearly hear everything switching on. I checked and I did not have power hitting the solenoid terminal on started upon turning the key. I unplugged the 3 pin plug near the jump start terminal and it showed 12 volts when triggered. I then check continuity of the wire from the plug to the starter, it checked. I then unscrewed the wire from the starter and tried again, it showed 12v. BTW, if I jump power to the wire, it cranks the starter.

So, here's the question. I show voltage , but when hooked up to a load, I get nothing. Is it possible the started relay can transfer the voltage, but cuts out on load. The relay looks unaccessible as it sits under the fan blower box.

To get the car started, I took the wire from the 3 pin plug and used it to trigger another relay pulling power from the bat terminal. It works, but I don't want to leave it this way.

Any help, or have I made this too confusing?

Thanks
