Excessive Service Cost???

Dropped off the viper last week to have a part replaced under warranty and figured while it was there I'd have them replace the tranny and rear differential fluid. I assummed both of these services wouldn't cost more than $100.00 or so, wrong! They want $129.00 for the tranny and $137.00 for the rear. For something so simple that seemed way overpriced to me, oh well live and learn. Next time I'll be doing the job myself...

4 qts transmission fluid + $16 a quart. Fluid for the axle $10. The rear axle does not have a drain plug. The fluid must be sucked out. Best idea is to drill the rear axle and put a plug in the housing. Time consuming but well worth it!

last time i checked trans fluid from mopar was @ $15-16 per qt. and most dealers are @ $100hr lobor rate. so not completely out of line.

I paid around $100.00 for just the tranny, diff fluid and diff additive.

Their pricing is not out of line.
