Where can I get the factory smooth tubes? How much should they run? I want to change the ones that I have for the ones with the bends in them.

I have red smooth tubes on now, but they are collapsing. I think that it has to do with not having a bend in them. I dont want to be losing Hp.

What are you running for a filter? Must be some restriction infront of the tubes for them to be collapsing?!?

How much of an improvement do you get with smooth tubes vs the stock ones? Is this one of those mods that alone doesn't do much but with other mods can have a significant effect. And why don't they come with smooth tubes from the factory?

I recommend the 5-ply induction tubes from SnakeOyl products, www.snakeoylproducts.com. Not only are they made with 5-ply aviation quality silicone and will last forever but they are curved in just the right places to allow for an optimal fit. They cost $89.95 per set. I've heard a noticeable difference with the sound of air rushing through the intake. I also added K&N filters. I figure I'm getting 15-20 extra horses with this setup and the price was right. The tubes are chunky and a little difficult to get to fit on the throttle body. I solved that problem with a little WD-40 and they slid on just fine.

I bought the smooth tubes from DC Permformance because they were curved to match up properly. There is a definate drop off from the air box to the trottle body on my 97 GTS.
