Laurie, nice to meet you. I have a 98-RT-10 and a 01' Yellow RT-10 on order. This is a great place to get info on your Viper. There is so much to tell you about goodies for this machine.

First; call ZAINO polishes and talk to Sal. He will get you set up with the best polish in the business (he advertise on this site and we all love his product) Go to a fine bedding/bath shop and buy some white, egyption cotton towels and cut the selvage (fancy trim with polyester in it) off! Use Zaino's technique, and you have the shiniest Viper in town.

Next, order the Mopar Smooth Intake tubes and K&N air filters from your dealer. This is good for a quick 10 ponies or so for little $$. Next, save up for the Mopar exhaust system (or Corsa, Borla etc.) and really make your snake sound great. The exhaust is the best thing I have done. It feels great to drive.

Everyone here loves to help, and Viper is pretty secrective about what they are up to. The club members know alot. Going to the factory was great for me. Please contribute to this page and write me anytime. I live in Iowa. Where are you from, have you joined your local Viper club?

Happy holidays!

Welcome to the Viper Nation, Laurie! Consider contacting your local VCA Region (website link from this home page )and join the National VCA through them...they are GREAT folks, and can really help you answer all those small (and not so small ) questions that arise. The Ohio Club has quite an event roster...as do most of the regions. And, you are ALWAYS welcome to join activities with any region. Happy Holidays and HAPPY VIPERING !!!

Hi Laurie and RT10, just saying "Hello" from overseas. Be warned this board is addictive...for you can never discuss enough about the worlds most wonderful car. Everyone is so helpful and friendly on this VCA site. Have you become a VCA member, the magazines are fab, and you will have a local region. Enjoy your Viper, and Merry Christmas.

Welcome aboard Laurie! Prepare for the longest winter you've ever had because I assure you spring, and the snowless roads that come with it, can't come soon enough. And if you ever miss your M car don't worry, take your RT to the track and you'll be picking them out of your radiator all day long

Welcome aboard, Laurie!

I'm sure you'll enjoy your snake as much or more than any vehicle you've owned. Not to sound too preachy, but take it easy as you learn to drive your new snake. The tremendous torque of the Viper is considerably different from that of your BMW. A misapplication of power and your snake can bite you! Especially this time of year when roads and tires are cold. Remember, the vehicular mortality rate of Vipers is highest in the first couple months of ownership. Make sure you've got the wheels pointed straight ahead before you jump on the power; otherwise you'll find yourself going in circles. Once you've become familiar with the Viper, you will find it easy to drive and a lot of fun! Again, welcome to the Viper nation.
