I would first like to applaud the generosity of the sponsors of the auctions. They have gone above and beyond the call in donating the highest quality of items to the auctions. My one and only suggestion would be to be more specific with the auctions and the parts, especially within the different generations. Due to the diffence in cost between the parts between the different generations, due to the substantial difference in the fair market value of the parts from the different generations, the auctions will generally be skewed to the generation for which that particular component is most expensive.

Please be aware, I am in no way complaining and fully recognize that these auctions are being done for charitable purposes. This is merely a suggestion that would allow more members to effectively participate in the auctions.

Not quite sure what you are saying. Do you mean that HRE wheels are more for an SRT than a Gen2? Thereby forcing a Gen 2 bidder to bid higher? If you were more specific re which auction it might be more helpful. Hard to imagine it would make a difference with the cats, the RT spoiler IS specific only to the RT. So which aution or part does this logic apply to? Wheels, Belangers? Corsa?

Since PartsRack donated EVERY item with the help of our vendors, let me explain:

-The FLAGSHIP donation is the HRE Wheel package. Applies to Gen 1-2-3 equally.

-The CORSA is a better value to a Gen 2 buyer.

-The Belanger Headers are a better value to a Gen 3 buyer

-The Random Tech Cats are a better value to a Gen 3 buyer.

-The AutoForm donation is a singular value to a RT10 ONLY, Gen 1-2.

So EVERYONE GETS TO PLAY with SOMETHING....but not everyone gets to play with EVERYTHING.

I agree and again, and please understand, as I said before, I was not complaining. I just thought it might be better to identify the differences laid out by Jon B. This was merely a suggestion and in no way meant to be critical of this very noble and generous act by Partsrack and the supporting vendors. Furthermore, with the generous nature of the VCA members, I wouldn't be surprised to see many of these items auction off for more than they can be purchased.
