Gear Swap...when

currently 3:55 and love em. however thats with 450rwhp.

opinions as to when a return to 3:07 based upon RWHP

A Roe Supercharger on a not too much more modified Viper (565+ rwHP) would probably be the dividing line depending on how you plan to drive - street? strip? both? - and also how good are you at extremely & quickly shifting?

I have the usual extra mods on my Viper and should be making 600+ rwHP and generally I can't use much more than 1/4-1/3 throttle in 1st gear on the street unless I just want to spin my tires and not go anywhere on stock Pilots.

I still have my 3.45's. I dont mind em.....I like the strong 5th gear pull.
Plus, I am increasing the rpm shutoff to 6500.

Rich:

Base the need to change on 1/4 mile speed. When you approach 127-130 mph with a 26" tire you will have to go to 3.07's or 3.33's.
