What does it take to callibrate the speedo if i have the equipment to do a gear swap myself?

Thank you, this car is a bone stock 97 which ran 12.15@119 and change with a 2.0 60'. Will the 3.45 or 3.54 pick this car up much? Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
