On my 2000 GTS some of the interior needs to be repaired. The center console has been cracked and repaired badly and the carpet on the door panels need to be replaced.

I've almost got my console removed, but it looks like I need to remove the dash bezel to remove it completely? Or do I need to remove the e-brake? It seems to be the main reason why I can't remove it.

And what is the best way to remove the door panels? I just want the bottom carpet piece off. Or do I have to remove the entire door panel?

Thanks in advance! :)

If you follow the link to my web page, I have a step by step on how to remove the center console.

New Page 1
on the left menu pane, almost to the bottom is a link to Center Console Repair and Center Console Wedge.

Thanks for the reply! But I actually don't see how you got it out? I've tried every which way to "lift" it out of the car, but the e-brake and the corners on the console have issues hitting the dash? I don't want to put to much pressure when lifting it out. Thanks for the link!

You will have to pull the e-brake all the way up. If you lift up the console from the back end, tilt it forward and you should be able to maneuver it out.

Maybe there is something wrong with my ebrake? It is hard to release sometimes. My issue is the points on the console. When I lift up it hits the dash and the console is rubbing the e-brake. No matter which way I turn the console it always hits the e-brake? I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow. Thanks for the replies!

Any ideas on the door panels?
