Gen 4 Oil Drain Plug Question

Does the drain plug on a 2009 ACR have a GASKET or is there supposed to be an o-ring on the drain plug? I can't find anything on a search. Also, Is the drain plug torque supposed to be 25 ft/pounds?

Disregard...found what I needed. Went and bought a new one at the dealership, which has a red rubber gasket/o-ring attached in the channel where the plug seats onto the pan.

Good information......I was wondering about that myself because I never really paid attention to it.

I have the gen IV pan on my gen III, and it's plug has the o-ring like you described.

The torque is 25 ft.lbs.

Some people miss this when changing their oil. Not uncommon to put a 2nd O Ring on and then it will leak.

Needs one...and only one.

The bigger, more involved projects aren't as much a problem.

Mine had none....another reason why I like doing my own oil changes.
