Anyone know what the torque specs are for the motor mount bracket to engine block bolts/nuts are? My service manual has them listed as 65ft-lbs in the back of section 9. However, in the text description of the removal/install of the motor mounts, it calls out 30ft-lbs.

I think those are 3/8-24 threads. 65 ft-lbs is way high for that size screw. Most generic charts like the one Tom refers to in your shop manual would say 30 ft-lbs on on 3/8-24 screw. Even grade 8 is only 45 ft-lbs.

Well, I tried 65ft-lbs last night. SNAP the bolt broke. The bolts are 3/8"-16 thread. I'm guessing that 65 ft-lbs is too much. :nono: I bought some grade 8 bolts to replace them, but I don't think I'll be trying 65 ft-lbs on those.
