On an earlier post I told that I was cursing over to a friends to watch some speed channel, on the way over ( a 6 minute trip ) my GTS was hitting 230 degrees. This might not seem that bad but I just did a cooling up grade to a 180-degree thermostat and a duel fan set up with an adjustable sending unit. After the up grade I usually run 180 to 190 degrees.
Well several friends helped me out getting the GTS securely into the local Chrysler dealership after closing hours.
The Viper Tec found through several test that the water pump gasket was improperly installed from the factory and let go all my coolant into the bottom end. They replaced the gasket removed the pan cleaned out the bottom end checked the bearings flushed the system twice and then toped her off with the good stuff ( Mobile 1 ).
I think that the boys here in Findlay took there time and I give them thumbs up for taking such good care of my car.
