I am going to the dyno with a couple buddies. One has a 2007 C6 Vette with Borla exhaust and the other has a 2007 Mustang GT with intake and exhaust. We are betting the closest to guessing dyno HP# will get $200 and lunch from the other 2 guys. I have a 2001 with K&N's, 3" R/T high flows and 3" Corsa. Everything else is stock. What kind of number should I go with? First dyno with my car so I am guessing about 425??? :dunno: Thanks!

I have pretty much that exact setup (not sure on the cats but they're definitely not stock) on my 2001. Here's my dyno results from two separate dynos.

HP Torque
418.2 457.8

421.91 451.16
429.75 456.73
428.65 459.19

Both of these were on DynoJet dynos.

Hope this helps.

sounds like a fun bet

the type of dyno matters (some)

:drive:
Chad AKA: V10Speedluvr was telling me today on the phone the same thing about the type of dyno. Mustang or Dynojet...WELL...I guess until I know which it is, approximatly what would be the difference in numbers? 5HP...8HP??? Chad said the Dynojet will run a little higher. Thanks all!!! :2tu:

I think 425 is a safe bet if its all running good
if its a dynojet, add 5
if its a mustang, subtract 5

My initial guess might be in the ballpark then! Thanks! :2tu:

id guess high 420's
I'm hoping so Plum!!!!! It burns my Vette buddies a$$ that his car is 6 years newer and I pull away from him. And that was before the cat's and Corsa. He's almost ready to come to "THE OTHER SIDE" and get a Viper at this point. Went down to Savannah GA Viper Days with him last fall and I think he's got the itch!!! He's tired of this... :buttkick: His car is pretty though. Yellow vert with black top...He's a Steelers fan all the way!

Viper 400-415, unless the dyno is "special"

Vette 330-340 2007 is LS2 I believe 380-390 if its an LS3

Mustang 250-260.

Not really. My Camaro was all over the place too. The top number was at a different place and I can't remember the temps that day (Arizona, it was probably hot?)

The next three numbers were back to back to back. Temp says 81 degrees on the dyno sheet, 5% humidity. As you can see, the car likes being a little warmer. I've seen the same thing at the dragstrip, car has actually run better after the car is run a couple of times rather than sitting cold and blastin' down the track.

I say sneak off to the dyne shop without them knowing and get a couple pulls in. Then when dyno day comes up you can make an "educated" guess. Then you can send me $50 for the advice when you win... :D

If you really want to win, just get the car dynoed a week before you guys meet up. WIN!

My bone stock GTS w/ smooth tubes put down 425 rwhp on a dynojet. I would guess 435 rwhp w/ your setup.
