For those who may remember my earlier post, I didn't get the car that had a "slight" accident. I'm pretty sure the accident was much more sever than the owner was letting on.
Instead I found a '94 RT/10 on consignment at a Toyota dealership. Just brought it home a few days ago!!
Life IS good!
But I do have a few questions:
1. When I bought the car, I noticed the carpets were wet. I've since found that they are actually extremely wet. I've removed the seats carpet and have them drying now. The passenger seat was very difficult to remove. I couldn't slide it forward enough to get to the rear bolts holding it down. Is the passenger seat only supposed to move about 3-4 inches or is something wrong? It turns out the carpets are absolutely soaked and so is the heat/sound shield which is glued to the floor. Any suggestions on a good way to dry the heat/sound shielding material?
2. The windshield washers don't work. Where should I start looking?
3. I removed the front license plate and frame and now have to large, ugly holes in my front fascia. Does anyone know of some small plastic plugs I could use to cover these up? I don't want to fill them in permanently in case the cops around here decided to harass me about it (not too unusual).
4. The front tires are worn out and the dealership is replacing them. The rears are the originals and are in great shape. Any recommendations on what type to get for the front? Does mixing brands create any handling problems (since the originals are no longer available)
Other than those few issues, the car is in beautiful shape with only 16K miles on it. What a blast!!!
