When you look at the numbers, one unit can look better than the other but the numbers are so close that it really doesn't make that much of a difference. You can't go wrong with either unit.

I have a porter cable random orbital that I bought at least 10 years ago. That was before I had the $$ to splurge on the Griot's. I bought the Griot's liquids, just bought the porter cable online for about $100 at that time. I have used it now for years, and it still works great. Having never used the Griot's I can't comment on if it is better or not, but I never have any trouble with the PC bogging down, or feeling like it needs more power. It's not like I need to push down on the machine very hard.
