Help!-Coolant pooling ontop of intake manifold?

I have a 02 rt/10 and was driving the other night and noticed when I had stopped, steam was rising from the passanger's side hood vent. I tried adding coolant think I may be low(seemed to overfill it). I then took it for a quick drive and noticed the car getting very hot very quickly. I let the car cool off and was looking for disconnected hoses(can't find any damaged or dissconnected hoses) or anything else and noticed some coolant pooling in the grooves of the intake manifold! How did coolant get there? Any help is appreciated.

Go to the "PURGING HOT AIR" section. Applies up to 2002, altho does not say so because it was written in 1999. This how-too and should answer most of your questions. Could be the T-stat crossover gasket, or a pinhole leak in a hose or heater hose
