Yesterday I posted a message about winding I was hearing at 3K rpm. Got a response that it was the fan after the car was heat soaked after being turned off for a little while and then restarted. Was told it was normal. I don't think so, I just pulled in my driveway and went to turn so as I could back in the garage as I normally do. Power steering was out and the car was at 225 and rising. I shut it down and am waiting for it to cool down. I assume my power steering fluid was probably boiling. I'll check the fan when I restart it later. I don't have any check engine light. Will be calling the dealer tomorrow to come tow it to their service department and see whats wrong with it. I'm just glad the power steering waited to crap out until I was in the driveway.....I live on a very windy road that I drive quite fast.:crazy2: If anyone else has ideas about whats wrong please chime in.

Oh ya, where is the tow point on an SRT-10 Coupe so as I know which way to put it in the garage for the tow truck to get it out.

Probably lost your power steering pump. Easy fix... have seen a few 2006's lose 'em.

No need for a tow onto the truck, once its cooled off completely, you have a good 5 minutes before the fan actually would need to circulate anyway... just watch the temp gauge.

I let it cool down to 170, started it and had power steering back. Fan came on after I started it too. Not sure what the fan was doing when I shut it off after the overheat though. But fan seems functioning ok at the moment, thinking maybe I just pushed it too ******* a very hot day??????
