Hey guys I found H.I.D kit that installs just the way that Sean Roe's old kit did, all inside the headlight housing. I purchased one and man was I impressed with everything in this kit, except the instructions. The right side took me only 4 hours and a trip to Wal-Mart to figure out how to make it all fit and look professional with out just throwing it all in and closing the back-cover. The left side took 15 minutes. These are Illegal to sell in the U.S but I purchased 15 kits cause I got a good deal and I know that everyone was so dissapointed when Roe stopped selling them his price was $550.00 or $599.00 + shipping I can ship them for $450.00 to your door. I will be basically drop shipping them from my supplier. I have an 01 viper and Dodge has provided wrong info (even in your owners manual about the model number of the low beam bulb.) This same error was in my 94 manual as well. So before I have a kit shipped to you it would be wise to check to se what you low beams are. Here are some pictures and I will provide detailed info on installation instructions. I chose to hard mount mine so I had to drill two quater inch holes in the back of my headlight housing but the kit comes with double sided tape as well if you do not want to drill. It is your choice. Last but not least is the improved look of your car and night vision is just out of this world. I can send you blue or white kits. The blue is my favorite cause it has that M/B or BMW look. It just finishes off a nice car. Here are the pics:

Ballast mounted to the inside back of the headlight cover (I mounted with the supplied bracet 1/4 in bolt and lock nut but it could be done with the double stick tape that is also suppied with the kit as well.)

The igniter or starter is mounted in the far inside of the housing with D-stick tape (perfect fit)

The new HID bulb fits right in the stock 9005 low beam housing

I put rubber waterproof washers in between the lock nut and the housing.

Next post will have night time pics.

Thanks for all of the questions, I hope that I have answered all of them for you all. I have 11 kits left and I am not sure that I can get anymore.

Check R&J distributing or ebay. I have 8000K in the headlights and the fogs. Lights up the whole highway.

I like the "white" lights more than the ones with the bluish tint, where are these at as far as color? You can really tell a difference between the headlights and driving lights.

Ron at R&J stiffed me for $90.00 after he tried to pawn off some crappy parts on me, so I will never go there again. Is there another supplier?

For the whiter color go with the 6000K. 8000K has more blue, 12000 has the purple tint...

for true HID you need an external balast that fires the special HID bulbs. the bulb only upgrades are just that. colored bulbs.

Anyone having the problem of their HIDs shaking when you hit a bump??

Andy

Yes, and I never noticed this before the conversion. Granted, the normal lights are more diffuse so I might not, but it is a little annoying.

Did you zip tie the ballast to the back of the housing? I thought the extra weight on the back of the housing might have made it shake. I put some foam under the housing to see if it made a difference, none noticed..
