Yes and Yes. If the unrestricted breathing gets to you, Turn up the radio or get a cat back system. Or you could give up the 11-15 hp and go back to the stock filters.

I think it sounds almost like a turbo, love it but don't hear it anymore because of new exhaust.

The K&N high flow air filters sound near the same. The only "fix" I can offer is a set of S&B's with the pre-filter. They sent me a few air filters with a foam pre-filter attached, much like the stock ones, but thinner and not as dense. That "may" quiet it up a bit if it's annoying you.
