Hood Grill Screws

Hi Guys Took off my hood "speakers" and lost a screw in the hood and can't seem to get it back. I don't suppose anyone has one they can sell or part with? Thanks

I would suggest that you read the linked thread...and look carefully for the screw if there is any chance that it is in the hood itself. http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/threads/532156-Lost-Screw-in-Hood

I had the same thing happen to me. I took a coat hanger and an old magnet end from a telescopic wand. I duct taped the magnet to the coat hanger and was able to fish it out.

In the link above, we used a magnet quite successfully in more than one fashion. The most important step was the use of a very strong magnet held (with padding for) on the outside surface of the hood and, by very careful manipulations, we moved the screw blindly to a better location for grasping. The next step for me would be to use a flexible borescope as you do not want that screw to erode through the "skin" of the car over time.
