How long to get 08 Hood

Anyone order a 08 hood this year. I ordered paid in April 09 and still have not recieved my hood. Is this a problem with Dodge or has anyone else ordered and having the same problem or has anyone recieved thier hood? Thanks

There are 11 on backorder.3 of those are on special handling. With none showing in process. I would call Jon B. and see if you can find a used one instead.

I wouldn't be suprised to find out that a lack of parts is contributing to insurance companies having to "total" out mildly wrecked Gen4 Vipers. Image having to cover the cost of a $50/day rental car for an extra 6 months while they wait for all the necessary parts to come in for a fix.

I for one would not agree to wait many months for a fix

I know who has them. I have gotten and still have (3) OEM 08 hoods and 1 carbon fiber, raised scoop, 08 hood. All look good and were in perfect shape on delivery.

No one has '08 OE hoods because the supply has dried up. They are supposed to be in production and the release date was supposed to be 09/30/09. The depot showed -8 when I checked on 10/01. We'll have to keep checking. I already have a local shop ready and willing to paint my Commemorative hood fangs.

I did notice the trunk lid looks pretty cool. I have a red car if I threw on the Hood and deck lid and left it in carbon it would take on the red black center acr look. Pretty interesting.

They have a reasonable reputation in the tuner world, I would have to look at it pretty close to see the weave if I can going to leave it carbon but I would have not trouble if I was going to sand and paint.

I really like the taller center scoop. Looks great...IMO

They have a reasonable reputation in the tuner world, I would have to look at it pretty close to see the weave if I can going to leave it carbon but I would have not trouble if I was going to sand and paint.

I couldn't decide so I did both...

There is a rear carbon deck actually made by Seibon (sp?). I wish Steve at Vipair made one but to this point I think this is the only one on the market.
