I am just about to drain the coolant from my '94 RT/10 and I was wondering how much coolant I should buy for the "refill" portion of the process. I saw a post in April that said the system holds 12.8 quarts. However the owners manual says 16 quarts. Which is it? Thanks in advance for your help.

Since you'll probably want to run about a 50/50 mix of coolant and distilled water, bet on 2 gallons - that way you'll be safe... Check the service manual for the exact recommended mixture - but since youa re in Georgia, I would not go any more heavily concentrated that 50/50....

However, buy a bunch more gallons of distilled water and flush the cooling system 2 or 3 times with the plain water before refilling with the final coolant mixture. Service manual has the procedure, but its basically refill, start car and let run for a minute or so, drain, repeat.

Good luck.
