How much difference in noise will removing the Cats make?

Just wondering how much louder it will be if I remove the high flow cats I have on? I've got high flows and a Borla cat back and was thinking in the spring I would take off the cats. I love the louder sound but if it's not going to make much difference I'll leave them on. If it's going to make it sound better I'll take em off. What do you think?

I had the same set-up... hi-flows and borla. when i removed the cats i was expecting 'too loud'. but far from it. it sounds nice and isn't too loud at all.

w/ the borla, i say go for it! w/ corsa or B&B, those are too loud for me.

The Borlas have a 2.5" interior diameter. That's probably why they're not as loud.

I already have the Borlas on now. So I'm just wondering if most of thesound comes from adding the Borlas or if there is a lot more sound to be had by removing the cats? ANyone have any soundclips with Borlas with and without cats?

When I removed my "high flow cats" (half of a stock cat from H*M*S) it got a lot louder and the drone was awful. I ended up putting two more mufflers back in place of the cats. You could try it and then go back with mufflers if you didn't like it.

Thats what I was looking for. Thank you. That second one sounds....AWESOME!. Makes me want to go get my car out of storage and fire it up just to hear it again..LOL. I'm thinking I will going catless.

You don't have what you drive in a profile.....but you may throw a code and need sims, there may be smells, you might throw flames out the rear upon decelleration............COOL!!!
