HP increase???

I have a 99 GTS with smooth tubes, K&M filters. lightened flywheel and a Borla exhaust. I'm guessing I'm around 480 engine HP right now.

I'm dropping the car off tomorrow to have a set of Belanger headers installed and I'm guessing that will take me up to about 510-520 engine HP.

Am I in the right ballpark or am I a little optimistic ? :dunno:

I have a 97 GTS with a Corsa, Hi-Flo cats, K&N & Smooth Tubes. Dynoed 434 at the wheel, calculated with a 14% drop to be 505 at the crank. Take the time to have it dynoed after the headers are installed. It's nice to get benchmarks as you continue to add upgrades.

I had almost the same mods as you last year.
On a Mustang dyno I put down 440whp and 470wtq
I would guess that is just over 500 at the flywheel

Check my sig for mods - minus the s/c and VEC2

02 with tubes, filters, metal high flow cats, belanger headers, 3" cat back, aluminum flywheel,1.7 rockers and tune. 100 deg outside air temp in shop on dyno and put down 460 rwhp and 499 rwtq. Dyno Jet. :drive::D:2tu::headbang:

Add some 1.7 roller rockers and open/polish the throttle bodies to let it breathe. good for another 30-40 hp.
I dynoed at 480rwhp with the following mods:
Edelbroc, headers, hi flo cats, borla exhaust, 1.7 arrow rockers and polished throttle bodies and modified air box. this would put the engine around 550 hp.
it's a Shelby 97GTS

I dyno'd 480rwhp and 525rwtq with Belanger headers, Belanger catback, RT cats, smooth tubes and Vec3 with room for more tuning. T&D rockers and 70mm throttle bodies going on now. I'd recommend getting a Vec or an SCT flash once you get your dyno sheet with AFR so you can bring it all together with a proper tune.
