HP increases

Are there any more exact #s for the HP gains from K&N filters? from smooth tubes? All I see are differing ranges posted by different people. I'm interested in the separate and combined #s.

At our dyno day we had a GEN one strapped down and 3 runs, we changed filters (no smooth tubes) and gained 11 hp. Each engine may vary in how it responds to the additional flow. Dyno to dyno variations are likely.

Thanks for the info, I knew the #s would vary from car to car, but I had seen different ranges posted that weren't even overlapping...

Numbers from others will be appreciated.

We posted the results of swapping out tubes and filters on both a Gen I and a Gen II from this past Sunday's Dyno Day in Kansas City. You can see ALL of the numbers and lovely photos by clicking right here. Hope this helps!

Just a quick note:
I was wondering if any of you guys tested the S&B filters against the K&N's. Also do any of you guys have any more to say about the S&B filters (experience wise). Thanks in advance.

I saw an increase from 407.6 HP and 442 ft/lbs to 415 HP and 448 ft/lbs when I added tubes & K&Ns to my otherwise-stock '01 RT. You will not see exactly the same figures from car to car because of individual variation in the vehicles and dynos.
