I\'ll be Dynoing my 98 GTS on 4/24. Any tips?

Anything to check to make sure it's done right? What #s should I expect? Current performance mods...Smoothies, K&Ns, Jesel rockers, hardened pushrods, VEC2, RT high flo cats, 2 1/2" Corsa, and "Hybrid" emblem. I'll be forwarding the results to Roe racing.

Use 4th gear for the pull. I couldnt speculate on the numbers. Is it a dynojet or mustang dyno...that will make a difference (mustang typically lower).

If it's a Dynojet, maybe 390-420HP, TQ numbers are higher than HP numbers.
Dave's right, take it to 4th gear and hit it. You will not make any HP/TQ after 6000RPM, so dont hit the rev limiter.
My numbers were dropping significantly at 5500.

Hybrid emblem should be good for extra 15Hp above the Dynojet numbers!

The starting rpm in 4th gear should be around 2000-2500 or so. Like RedEnuf said, no need to take it to 6K rpm. Have someone monitor the a/f during the run. My only attempt in my GTS after some mods and a piggyback computer caught the eye of the dyno operator and he had me shut it down. My SRT Ram on the other hand threw a rod with no warning.

Just installed a Dynajet 248x Dynamometer in my shop, my '02 GTS ran 424 hp, & 460 torque.

As one member posted 4th. gear between 2000 -2500. Good luck.
