I'm in the market for the ultimate viper.
I need advice on two cars.
1st 1999 GTS ACR - talked to some VCA members selling theirs. Around 50k and spend perhaps 5-7k on upgrades especially stoptech brakes due to lack of ABS.
2nd choice 03 or 04 SRT with some miles and shore up $71K. Perhaps will resist upgrade bug due big hit on the wallet.

There has been a couple of brand new '02 GTS cars on e-bay. One of them was an ACR. Not very many brand new Gen 2 cars left, but you can still find them.

The SRT is a far better handling/forgiving car. the car will out brake a porsche TT, and is lighter w/ more hp.

My SRT-10 (2003 5700 miles) is in the classifieds for $67,500.....

It really depends on which Viper you want - I feel that they are 2 distinctly different cars. What types of cars are you used to and what do you want to do with the Viper - drag race, cruise, road course, autocross? This will help make your decision easier.
