Is there any special instructions on welding on stainless steel cats to factory headers and resonators? I remember hearing how certain metals cause corrosion.

Thanks

I just did the same thing a couple of mos ago. I recall the inlet to the resonator was 2 1/2" and the outlet from the cat was 3" so cut a short piece of stainless (2 1/2" diam.) and enlarged one end to the larger 3" size with a special tool that muffler shops have. One end fits over and one end inside then weld. Shouldn't rust or cause any problems since it's all stainless.

I don't think so. Just got the reducer from JonB as part of the whole pack. Cats, Corsa cat-back. Definitely need the 2.5 to 3 reducer.

I just had my local Pronto Muffler guys do the welding. The fit was actually tight enough on the install that I could drive it to the muffler place and not even worry about throwing a code or having it loosen on the drive over - didn't even need clamps on the reducer for the drive over.
