I am just curious to see why some of you put the SRT-10 emblem on the Gen II vipers? I don't think they fit the look like sneaky pete does. Maybe I am just used to the old fashion ways.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it, but it kind of reminds me of the people that used to put the SS on their muscle cars when they never came with it. Is it the ultimate poser mod? naah.. I think I take the cake on that with my wing and scoop. :D

Sneaky Pete is the only logo that will ever be on my Gen II viper, but as logos go Fang looks just as good if not better than Sneaky Pete.

Sneaky Pete has to stay! I just changed mine from blue to red!
Fang is growing on me though. Looks great on those yellow seats recently posted!

I think that the sneaky pete logo has had more detail added to it by all the great interior mod guys that it had grown on us more..But, if and when we see more detail added to the fang logo I'm sure it to will grown on us as well. Shameless little propmo for my man Chad@Snakehydes!

Both are cool. IMO.

But Sneaky Pete is what represents my generation of Vipers, therefore I would never replace him with the Gen 3 logo, or put a Gen 3 logo on, or in my Gen 2.

If I owned a Gen 3, I would never put a Sneaky Pete logo on, or in it either. That's just me.

Our VCA Club just had very nice button down dress shirts made to sell to members and non-members and they were all Gen 3 logo's. I asked about having some Sneaky Pete logo shirts made for us Sneaky Pete people, and our Pres told me that VCA National told him anything like shirts and such made since the Gen 3 car and logo came out HAS to be made with the Gen 3 logo, the local clubs can not be making Sneaky Pete on anything any more! Kind of a bummer for us non Gen 3 people.

Sneaky Pete is currently the King of my snake pit!

What!!? Is VCA National like Microsoft in saying everything has to go with the newest edition?!! I think the opinions expressed above say it well -- the Gen I and Gen II guys like the original Sneaky Pete and the Gen III looks appropriate with Fang. Don't these guys get it that they have to continue to support the base of older Vipers out there in order to have a chance of building broad support for the brand and new cars to come. The Viper typeface is the unifying brand identity. Are they really that short sighted?!!

I don't know Bruce. I'm just a lowly member. I only know what I was told. I thought that was kind of strange when the Club Pres said that VCA National said NO MORE SNEAKY PETE. I thought to myself, How could VCA National or even DC think that they no longer need to support or acknowledge the early Generation. That Generation is what has got them to where they are at now. We can't make shirt, hats, etc...with Sneaky Pete? What a big mistake, when the masses find out VCA National and/or DC does not want to keep acknowledging/producing Sneaky Pete, they would just go bazerk. As a Sneaky Pete owner/member I felt like I was just pushed out in the cold. :(

We are working with Dodge to offer some additional creative ideas for the VCA logo. Essentially, our use of Dodge logos are licensed through ..... you guessed it .... Dodge.

We have made a suggestion a few months ago to allow some alternatives to allow fangs and sneakly pete to co-exist on a VCA logo.... should hear an answer shortly (I think it'll fly!)

Why should this surprise anyone? A quick look at their latest performance parts catalog shows that they are moving away from the gen I and gen II parts and adding stuff that's only good for gen III. The stuff they intro'd at SEMA for Vipers all seemed aimed directly at gen III - I definitely got the feeling they were leaving us gen I and gen II owners behind.

Sneaky Pete for me too. I like both emblems and am even starting to like the SRT-10 in it's own right. However, I still like my GTS best and will only wear Gen II related clothing, etc. It's unfortunate that Dodge would make a decision to not allow Sneaky Pete to continue to be produced. Chevy still allows the prior generation Vette emblems to be utilized. I guess they appreciate the owners of all gens of Vettes more than Dodge does its prior gens and original owners. In fact I think GEN I and GEN II owners should get distinctive VCA membership cards that reflect the VIPER that they own. Too bad I thought Sneaky Pete had developed quite a heritage on the street and on race tracks all over the world. Guess I won't be able to buy any Viper promotional clothing anymore. What benefit will Sneaky Pete owners get at the next VOI? Maybe all Vipers with Sneaky Pete logos will be banned?
