Took the car to Englishtown tonight. Have not received my roll bar yet, so I knew I was getting kicked out.

I know when Moundir had the car it trapped around 146 in 108 degree track temp.

1st pass ;
60'= 1.67
1/4 mile= 11.52
mph= 83.27

Got out of it and hit the brakes(thought I wouldn't break into the 11's).

Next full pass I knew I was getting kicked out.

2nd pass;
60'=1.48
330'=4.209
660'=6.400
mph in the 1/8th=117.13
1000'=8.270
et=9.892
mph=129.89

Had to lift in third(got about one foot from the wall). Got in and out of it in fourth. What a ride. Have to figure out why it went hard right. If I was to stay in it and go 148-150, I think it should have went a 9.50-9.60.

Temp was 70
Humidity was 69

Doug, you build some great cars.

Can't wait to go again with my roll bar and make a full pass.

MONSTER RUN!!!

I wish you could have stayed in it!!!

Congrats on the 9 second Pass!!!

117 MPH in the 1/8 is smokin!!! My car ran 116 and some change in the 1/8 so you have a for sure mid 9 second car or better!

Superchargers prove to be fast again on the track!!!!

HOLY SMOKES!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is SICK!!!!

Was that on BFGs or ET streets?

Sweet 60 foot time! a 1.48!!!! dang!!!!!!!

I don't think they did an alignment after the new shocks and springs were put in... might want to look at that for the pulling right thing...

Needless to say, there weren't very happy with me. They were there blocking the return road to send me home.

It was the first time I was ever scared going down the track (and I have had several 9 second bikes).

JD, that's exactly what Doug Levin said (do an alignment).

Jeff -

Definitely do an alignment. On street tires, you'll never notice it, but on ET Streets, an alignment makes _all_ the difference. I would assume there is nothing wrong _except_ that you need an alignment. :)

JD,

I will do an alignment this week.

I also had alot of water on the intake manifold from the ice. Do you think it was possible for that to get under the car ?

It is possible that you dripped some water from over the intake onto the ground, but I _know_ that I've done that before and it has never caused me to slip and slide...

Very nice Jeff. I would have liked to have been there to watch.

You do know that you'll get kicked out for 9 second runs even with the roll bar dont you.

I'm going to put the roll bar in for my safety.

The rules for 9.99 and quicker are a little too much for me. I can't cut the car up and put the cage they require for 9's.

I'll go back with it ready for 10.00's and blow one out the back door at the end off the night.

Are there any tracks around that aren't as strict ?

NICE !!!!!!!!!!!!

Try some large freezer bags to put your ice in. Much better and they won't leak. The ice will also last longer because the cold water is staying with the ice.

Second this one, I bet the reason for getting out of the lane had more to do with the water than an alignment. Tony is so smart ;)

THat is an awesome pass. 117MPH is absolutely incredible in the 1/8. YOu should be 150+ in the quarter. Congrats on the 9 second pass.

BTW, I was told if you hit 135+ MPH in the quarter you are required to install a full cage in. YOu don't have to run in the 9's before you put a cage in. Also, when you hit 150+ MPH you have to install a parachute, I don't think it matters the et. That is quit an accomplishment to have to run around with a parachute.

That'd be cool... A chute on the back. hahaha.

The tuners are going to have to start selling chutes :)

I can see a picture or video now, taken from the 1600' mark or so... A Viper that's just gone thru the traps coming towards the camera, and a big chute with VIPER emblazoned it billowing behind.

Who's gonna be the first?!?!

..The first funny cars couldn't get out of the 10s..!

I'm sitting here going through the rule book and really don't want a chute and full cage in the car.

Never thought I would have such a good problem like this.

Found a website that says in part:

4.4 PARACHUTE
Mandatory on any car with top speed in excess of 150 mph (241.4 km/h). See General Regulations 4.8.

utah is right. The time isnt the dangerous part, the speed is!
Especially at 130mph on slicks and skinnies with no cage, 5-points, or helmet strap,lol
