Sorry, I couldn't resist that last one.

I think you might need a wheel puller to remove. Someone else will have to help with the details.

Yes, Chuck is right on both of the above......
You will need a puller, for a plastic pulley, it might as well be welded.... make sure it uses a grade 8 bolt...and be patient.

Yea, it takes a special tool to remove it. It doesn't necessarily have to be a Dodge tool, but it needs to grab onto about 2/3 of the metal insert in the plastic pulley. Snap-On makes one that works well for it. Hemibeep is correct, it takes considerable force to remove it. Snap-On also makes a tool to re-install it, but you could use a bolt to draw the new one back on the shaft.

I just replaced my grenaded plastic pulley with the March billet pulley. I also replaced the cast power steering bracket with the billet unit from DLM as a pre-emptive measure. As a result, I had to remove the power steering pump anyway, so I do not know if it could be done while on the car.

I removed the old pulley with a generic power steering pulley puller designed for Chrysler cars. Worked like a charm and popped the hub off very easily.

I installed the new billet pulley with a bolt and used a nut and washer threaded on the bolt to press the pulley on.

Pump has to come off. 3 bolts to remove, then you can move it around to get the puller on the shaft..pretty easy...al...

Did the same thing about two months ago and could not get it off till I removed the pump itself and got to grips with it!
