We held our annual Holiday Party and Charity Auction this past Sunday here in Kansas City. This event was attended by almost 90 people and we literally filled every available seat. A special thank you to Jerry Dobson, the Thomas', the Listers, and my lovely bride Mary for doing such a great job of putting this together and seeing it run like a well-oiled machine.

Thanks to some very generous donations by our favorite vendors, as well as some spectacular donations by our own members, we raised exactly $11,000.00 for the club and various charities! As a result, we more than doubled last year's proceeds. We are very proud to be associated with both The Rainbow Center and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City and are happy to make these large donations possible through these annual auctions.

I also wanted to thank the following vendors for their steadfast support of our club and the Viper Nation:

Autoform Development - http://www.autoformgroup.com/

ViperMania - http://www.vipermania.com/

Premier Sportscars - http://www.premiercars.com/

Bud Brown Dodge - http://www.budbrowndodge.com/index.cgi?dc=1

ViperSpeed - http://viperspeed.com/

Viper Days - http://viperdays.com/

Roe Racing - http://www.roeracing.com/

Zaino Brothers - http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc

Besides these great vendors, we also had some awesome donations from our membership and they were simply too numerous to list all of them here. Among the highlights:

Two week vacation in the Cayman Islands donated by the Sanders

One week vacation in Orlando donated by the Lyons

Day trip by private plane to Branson including lunch, dinner, & show donated by the Wollesens

Mini motorcycle ("pocket bike") donated by Dobson, Miller, Paddock, & Medina

We again want to thank everybody that was involved in making this one spectacular event. Have a very safe and happy holiday season!

Chris

V-10 Nationals went there this summer because of their generosity and sponsorship of the race. :2tu: They support road racing and they have a STRONG VCA because they are avid Viper enthusiasts.

This group will make any person that comes there to enjoy racing their Vipers welcomed like one of their own. This group stands as a shinning example of what the Viper ownership is all about. You guys are truly a class act!!!!! I would like to thank you for your hospitality extended to me as well as the other V-10 National racers that came to your race!

Merry Christmas and the happiest of holidays to the Kansas City VCA!

It really is amazing how good of job Chris, Mary, and Jerry do with the KC VCA. I can't imagine anyone doing it better.

Chris, I didn't win anything at the auction, did I? (I had to leave early)

Actually, Tim W. bought the supercharger kit as a gift for you. I think that Gary ended up taking it home...

A charity event and you didn't invite me? :p

Michael, while you are certainly one of our FAVORITE charities, you are not a licensed nonprofit. Even though it probably feels like it at times... ;)

Here, Here, Chris Marshall for National President of the Viper Club of America. We would miss him here, but for the good of all, we might let him go.

Kurt, as for Jerry and the Mustang club...... He is already the President of the local Mustang V-6 club. As we all know he uses an avatar with other peoples car in it.... All he really owns is a V-6 Mustang. ;)

There are two clubs in the nation that are considered the panicle of car clubs….. The Viper and the Ferrari Club. I represent both. There are other clubs in the nation that are fantastic, like the Rolls/Bentley, Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes, Audi…on and on. They just don’t have the same excitement that Viper/Ferrari brings.

I know you guys like to use the Mustang Club to push my buttons! They are the only car club that I do not invite to the famous “Jerry Dobson” cruises. For the most part they represent too much controversy, street racing and smack talking. It’s just easier to leave them out of our social car cruises. It’s a shame because I really like the Mustangs.

We all know that I wrote a personal check for my Viper years ago when I purchased it. Not all of us here can say that. You can see my vehicle title anytime…free and clear…from the day I bought the car.

Is it PINNACLE or PANICLE?

Don't sweat the small stuff, Bro!

We all know you paid cash for your Viper. Most all of us wrote personal checks for our Viper, our 100's of HP in mods, and our second Vipers at the same time too. Welcome to the huge crowd on that accomplishment. Kudos to you on that!

We all know you're the KING of hot chicks and Vipers hanging out in your garage, your limo, and the Flamingo Club with you!! YOU BASTARD! :D

You know I'm only giving you all this crap because you have Joe's Lotus in your avatar! And I will continue to dish it out until you change the avatar to have just your Viper in it!!!

You know I love ya, I'm just hoping I can grow up, get the same pec implants you have, and be just like you! ;)

Thanks for all your help in running our Charity Auction this year! We couldn't have done it without you! Well, maybe we could have. ;)

I was disapointed you showed up alone at the party. This is the first time in a while you haven't shown up with the flavor of the week, which the flavor is usually SMOKING HOT!

Damn spell check. You are correct.

No problem my friend. Just the word Mustang gets me all worked up!

Somehow we have managed to hi-jack another thread.

In that case, I think I owe at least two and a half. Does writing a check for the key ring count at all? :) Sorry I was late to the thread and the subsequent hijacking. Had to have the mother-in-law laid to rest out in Indiana this week. Carry on!

Wish you could tell the mother-in-law story!

Boss, it's all Kurt's fault for the hi-jack, he opened the door and led me astray! I promise!

But, You and Mary did a great job at our party and the auction! It had to be the BEST in the country, and I would guess it has to rank as one of the biggest local Viper club fund raisers around.

Keep up the awesome work!

I didn't know Jerry was Prez of the MUSTANG club too. I have some pictures of you guys that you could maybe use for the avatar, like maybe the 911 picture Jerry sent the other day. You guys should see the calendar that I didn't get finished for the auction, the Viper husbands-faces, maybe next year. Jerry the V-10 Nationals in Topeka collage is almost done, you know when Ryck wupped you at the drags.
Have a good day.

Also the Bumble Bee goes straight again.

I was wondering when Chris would chime in.

I knew we would raise a lot of money this year for charity. Last year we had about 40 members. This year we skyrocketed to 87 attendees.

Now it will be tough to break the record next year. At the rate our club is growing...we might be able to do it.

Maybe we can make more if we auction off eligible bachelors...Jerry?
