Decided to not buy the complete differential. I'm looking for a 3.55 ring and pinion and a speedo recalibration box new or used.

you don't need new gears, just get a short shifter like mine and you be all set to go. LOL

Nahhh, I will leave the missing shifts and losing to stock mustangs to you buddy hahahahhha. With gears I will just pull away from you that much faster while you are back there accidentaly rammin it into 2nd instead of 4th LOL.

I saw those, but the listing says 2000-05. I asked the seller if he had any that would fit a 98 and he said no. Arent they different depending on the Abs non abs models? If those do infact work in a 98 I'll get those for sure.

Call Tator or JonB, but I believe it has to do with having a "Dana" vs. a "Super Dana" in which the difference is the ring gear bolts. The cars up to 1999 were 3/8" and the 2000 and later had 7/16". Tator or JonB would know for sure.

Yeah, called around and sounds like that ring and pinion kit will NOT work on my 98. Damnit

I have 3.55's and wish I had the stock gears back in it. I bought it with the 3.55's and now plan to switch back to stock. So a 98 is different than a 2002??
