I meet a gentlemen that does fuel system management resource and development for racing teams. He told me that the throttle bodies on domestic cars in general are poor. He then stated, that if I would like to send him my stock throttle bodies he could re-work them. He states the gains would be 50-HP and 60-ft lbs Torque, and better throttle response. I have posted a few times looking for some stock TB and asked some questions about what others have found in TB gains. Most have posted that going to a bigger MM TB gives small HP gains with a loss of low end Torque. That information I totally understand. If a person goes to K&N filters and smooth Tubs you see about 10-HP to 15-HP gain. So why cant you look at a stock TB that is more efficient in air flow ( not bigger) to provide some gains too. I am willing to spend the money to have the work done and have before and after dyno testing. But the one thing that I lack is another set of stock TB. I fill that having two sets, one stock and one re-worked is the only way to truly be able to find any gains one the dyno. So is there anyone out there that would like to help me in my quest to find the truth. I can have my stock set re-worked and use yours for base line pulls, then send back,or buy,or if the gains are there have them re-worked and sent back to you at my expense for your help. Please fill free to tear me up on this one, enlighten me with all that I am missing or help out.
